Our mission is to provide a home to animals that have been adandoned or abused, to show them what it is to live in a home where they are loved.

Dely was Harriet and Sally's sister. She was found with them abadonded in a house in Puntarenas when her previous owners moved. As soon as we saw the dogs we knew that Sally and Dely needed to go to the vet. Dely was already not walking and not even able to get up.

When we arrived at the vet they did distemper tests on both dogs and both tests came out negative so we decided to put the on fluid therapy and leave them a couple days at the vet. The lady who reported them agreed to accept them back when they came out of the vet. Dely was seen first. As soon as the IV fluids were set up and started running she started yelping and mildly convulsing. They gave her a tranquiliser and moved her into the hospital section of the clinic.

On day 2 of hospitalisation Dr Gomez himself called me. He said that while Sally was eating and drinking on her own Dely had not woken up and that the yelping and convulsing had continued throughout the full 24 hours. He asked permission to euthanise her, to which I agreed. Dely was peacefully laid to sleep on the first of March 2021.
